Vaccinations on Campus

The University is continuing to support and encourage everyone to be fully vaccinated against Covid – including the booster jab. In partnership with University Hospitals Birmingham (NHS) the mobile vaccination team will be popping back up on campus again so that anyone who is eligible can grab a jab!

Thursday 5 May, 9am to 3.30pm

The Vaccination team will be located in the Green Heart of Campus right beside the Study Space Marquee.

You will be able to pop along and grab a jab, no appointment necessary, for a first, second or booster jab of the Pfizer vaccine only.

You don’t need to be registered with a GP or bring any ID to grab a jab!  But it will help to bring your NHS number along, if you know it.  All staff and students are welcome, the sites are open to anyone who is eligible – vaccination doses are FREE.

Please note:

If you have already had your first dose you need to wait 8 weeks before you are eligible for your second dose.

If you have already had your second dose you need to wait at least three months before you can get a booster dose.  And, if you have recently tested positive for Covid you have to wait for 28 days before you can have any further doses.

If you are planning to travel for the summer holidays then you might need a third/booster jab to be considered as fully vaccinated. Many EU countries, for example, require you to have had a third/booster jab to qualify as fully vaccinated if your second dose was more than 9 months ago.

At any other time you can book a vaccination, find a local walk-in site, and find further details here : Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination - NHS (www.nhs.uk)
